Inspired by real-life formula cars, the Asetek Simsports® La Prima™ Formula Wheel has been painstakingly designed by racers and sim racers alike. The wheel has been designed and manufactured to live up to the feel of real-life racing whilst embracing the feedback of sim racing. With this and other feedback in mind, we started from scratch and from a blank sheet of paper with a mission to create the best sim racing formula wheel possible, but like our other products, without breaking the bank. We are happy to say that we achieved just that – meet the La Prima™ Formula Wheel! What others would call high-end; we can make it possible as an entry level!
Many wheels, both sim racing and real-life racing, get their strength and stiffness from the faceplate and handlebars, often in a closed construction (the handlebars are mechanically connected at both ends). Unfortunately, that also locks them in size and design. In order to achieve maximum stiffness.
To increase overall anti-flex and a proper interface for the removable handles, the chassis features a metal spider interface on the inside and together it produces a rigid, non-flexible steering wheel where the handles can be changed or upgraded over time to help give yourself the steering wheel YOU want! For now, we have two different sizes, the default one that gives a perfect fit and grip for average sized hands and an XL version for larger hands.
The ergonomic grips are made from a comfortable, soft and durable silicone rubber, which is easy to clean and sanitize and will give you maximum comfort and control, regardless of whether you wear racing gloves or not. You will have the option to easily change the grips to quickly implement future updates in color, size, shape and hardness.

With plenty of inputs, the Asetek Simsports® La Prima™ Formula Steering Wheel, via our RaceHub™, will give you the option to customize and assign all the buttons, switches, encoders and paddles you need to be at the top of your game. With 12 buttons, two 7-way curly switches, three rotary encoders and two thumb encoders, you will get optimal control of your desired settings.
All buttons, switches and rotary switches meet the highest quality standards and are fully tested and validated on our automated button testing machines to ensure years and years of reliable daily use.
The La Prima™ steering wheel features 15 fully customisable aRGB LED rev lights, allowing you to not only personalise the look of your wheel, but also help you make those split-second gear changes that can make the difference between success and failure. Of course, the LEDs can be adjusted, dimmed and colour customised in the RaceHub™, with many more features to come. Each button and LED can be clearly marked using the provided sticker sheet, which provides a label for each function on the wheel.
The rear features two contactless magnetic shift paddles for quick and fluid gear changes.

All Asetek SimSports® wheels feature our proprietary quick release system, which is as easy to use as shifting gears - literally, to disconnect the wheel from the base, all you have to do is press a paddle and the wheel is in your hands! Needless to say, we don't rely on wireless signals, batteries that need to be charged, or cables that can break or fall off. It's all included in our easy-to-use, play-free quick release.
